Description
Aware of the changes that occur on a daily basis, the Language Unit wants to encourage teachers to search for better strategies for the teaching-learning of the English language, so this course was created to improve these processes.

Improve English teaching-learning processes through modern strategies.
Specific objectives
- Select the appropriate topics or those related to the continuous improvement of the teaching of English.
- Discuss the pedagogical strategies available for the continuous improvement of the teaching of English.
Methodology
The course will be developed under a personalized workshop format, in which both the trainers and the attendees at the same time will have an active participation in its development.
The course will last 40 hours, 18 face-to-face hours, 8 hours of synchronous work and 14 hours of autonomous work. In these 14 hours, participants must choose and develop one of the following proposals:
- Write an essay on how you develop listening and speaking skills, how you assess these skills and your perception afterwards. (900-1100 words)
- Develop a lesson plan that includes objectives, strategies, assessment, methodology, topic, length to cover the topic to teach reported speech in the EFL classroom through the use of ICTs
- Pretend you have to teach passive voice, plan a class in which you use the meaning, form and use methodology.

Total 40 hours: 18 face-to-face hours

14 hours of autonomous work

Module I: Social responsibility topics to deepen grammar structures
Module II: Biography Driven Instruction
Module III: speaking techniques
Module IV: Music activities for vocabulary acquisition, listening comprehension and pronunciation
Module V: How to elicit CCQS (concept checking questions) answers successfully to clarify meaning form and pronunciation from students
Module VI: Speaking through oral presentations
Module VII: Assessment
Certificates
Once the activities for the development of the course have been completed, the participants will receive the course approval certificate: Methodologies in the Teaching/Learning of the English Language provided that they meet the approval requirements: Evaluation equal to or greater than 70% and minimum attendance of 80% of face-to-face and synchronous classes.
