Microcurriculum and Universal Learning Design from the inclusive education approach -DUA-

Description

The educational system has the responsibility to guarantee equitable opportunities for access, participation and promotion of learning for all students (LOEI, 2011). In this sense, and at all educational levels, it is necessary for the actors and sectors involved to be able to turn awareness or epistemological rupture in how we understand inclusive education, it should be clearly seen that from the approach of rights and education for all (UNESCO, 2000) inclusive education is not a current trend or cliché discourse, nor is it a stage development of Special Education (Ocampo, 2021), rather "it can be conceived as a process that allows addressing and responding to the diversity of needs of all learners through greater participation in learning, cultural and community activities and reduce exclusion inside and outside the educational system.”(UNESCO, 2008, p.8).

Within educational institutions, one of the core areas in which institutional pedagogical models are specified is the curriculum, its action is one of the backbones of institutional and classroom educational practice, however, this project does not always clearly raise the epistemic principles and the processes to make education inclusive, rather, it is usually understood from the administrative obligation and not from a democratic, academic, creative, flexible and contextualized process, which makes it possible to design and manage learning experiences or environments for education. diversity of styles, rhythms, interests and needs of the students.
