Description
Currently, the application of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in the food industry is a need and requirement worldwide. Consumers are looking for products with more quality and safety attributes and regulatory bodies demand compliance with both national and international regulations to guarantee food safety.
Good Manufacturing Practices are tools that focus both on hygiene and food handling, as well as on the design and operation of establishments for the correct development of food-related processes and products.

Objectives and methodology
Virtual platform:
The course will be held on the virtual platform of the Universidad del Azuay, entirely in Spanish and with an intuitive and accessible interface.
Participants will have access to the virtual platform to interact with the teaching materials, the instructor and the course partners.
Intensive Tutorials:
The information is organized into 6 modules, each module can be accessed for two months from the start of the course. In the same way, they will be able to obtain the material, as many times as they require, only by entering the account of the virtual page.
Teaching materials:
All teaching materials, especially presentations, book chapters, scientific articles, edited, etc. For training activities, they are freely accessible to participants.
Evaluation system:
At the end of every two modules, a partial evaluation will be applied, which will consist of a maximum time and the opportunity for a repetition.
Access to a forum for the presentation of the course tutors.
Access to the open forum for consultations, with specific dates (tutorials).
Final evaluation of the course, you will have a maximum time and the opportunity for a repetition.
Access for evaluations will have a maximum time of 2 months.

Certificates
Once all the modules have been completed, and the partial and final evaluations have been satisfactorily completed, an electronic certificate of approval of the course will be issued.

The certificate will contain the dates of completion of the course with the details of the evaluation and the virtual hours and autonomous work.
Recipients
The course is aimed at professionals and collaborators in the food area. It is recommended that the participant have prior knowledge of principles of hygiene and food handling, as well as basic knowledge of English.
