Description
This course was born as an initiative of the University of Azuay through International Research Networks (IReNE) in partnership with the University of Pittsburgh, its purpose is to provide our teachers and researchers with computational methods that allow them to validate and corroborate large amounts of data for the development of their investigations.
Sustainable development goals
Quality education
Objectives and methodology
Objectives
- Extract and interpret useful information from large amounts of data.
- Apply appropriate data analysis methods for different types of applications.
- Use resources for data analysis provided by Python and its specialized packages.
- Familiarize the participants with learning techniques, classification and clustering
- Use effective data visualization techniques.
- Prepare participants to address (in subsequent courses) data mining issues and machine learning
Course methodology
The course will be theoretical-practical so the participant requires the software and a laptop of his own. There will be individual readings, and developments of individual and group exercises.
