About this course

The Faculty of Psychology continues to promote professional development and innovation opportunities for teachers, aimed at strengthening pedagogical and evaluative skills in higher education. Within this framework, the program “Innovation in Assessment and Problem-Based Learning” will be developed , focusing on the analysis of assessment systems aligned with the professional profile and competencies of psychologists, and the construction and validation of multiple-choice questions using Bloom's Taxonomy, considering the organization of content according to CACES guidelines.

In conjunction with this proposal, the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) methodology will be explored in depth, addressing its theoretical foundations and its practical application in the classroom as an active strategy that promotes clinical reasoning, meaningful learning, and the development of professional skills.

Objectives

Strengthen teaching skills in assessment and educational innovation through the application of active methodologies, the design of multiple-choice questions aligned with competencies and the implementation of Problem-Based Learning (PBL), in accordance with the guidelines of the psychologist's professional profile and the guidelines of CACES.

Specific objectives

  • Analyze the foundations of competency-based assessment systems and the structure of standardized tests applied to the training of psychologists.
  • Understanding the criteria for constructing and validating multiple-choice questions using Bloom's Taxonomy as a basis for learning assessment.
  • Organize and analyze curricular content and syllabi based on the competencies, metrics and guidelines established by CACES for the professional profile of the clinical psychologist.
  • Apply the theoretical and practical foundations of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) through the collaborative design of activities and questions aimed at strengthening active learning and professional reasoning.

Methodology

The in-person program combines theory and practice through a collaborative approach focused on assessment design and CACES-style questions. Teachers will participate in applied PBL workshops, syllabus analysis, and certified independent work.

Once the activities and requirements for the development of the course have been fulfilled, the participants will receive the Certificate of Approval, based on what is established in the Regulations of the Department of Continuing Education, that is, that the participant obtains a minimum of 70% in the academic evaluation and 80% attendance at the face-to-face or synchronous classes.
